Passkeys are a modern, passwordless authentication method designed to replace traditional passwords with something more secure and easier to use.
To enable Passkeys on your account, please follow the step-by-step instructions below:
1. Go to Mercuryo Widget https://exchange.mercuryo.io/ and initiate a purchase:
- Enter the amount and crypto you would like to purchase and click "Buy";
- Enter the wallet address;
- Select your preferred payment method.
2. Enter your email address. Input the code sent to your email.
3. On the "Enable Passkey" screen, click Add Passkey.
4. Add Passkey to a password manager of your choice (e.g. 1Password or Google Password Manager)
5. You're all set! Your Passkey is now active, and you can proceed with your purchase.
Is setting up Passkeys mandatory?
No — enabling Passkeys is optional. You can skip this step and continue using your email code to sign in.
How do I sign in with Passkeys?
1. Initiate a purchase in Mercuryo Widget https://exchange.mercuryo.io/
2. Sign in using your Passkey. You can also choose to skip and use your email code instead.
3. Authenticate using your password manager when prompted.
⚠️ Passkeys are currently not supported on iOS or Safari.

How do I manage my Passkeys?
1. Go to Mercuryo Widget https://exchange.mercuryo.io/
2. Click the two-line symbol (=) located in the top right corner.
3. Click Passkey. In this section, you can do the following:
- Add a new Passkey by clicking Add Passkey
- Rename an existing Passkey by clicking the pencil icon located to the right of its name.
- Delete an existing Passkey by clicking the X icon located to the right of its name.
