To help keep your account and assets secure, Mercuryo uses Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for sensitive account actions.
Once enabled, you'll be asked to enter a 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app whenever you perform certain actions.
When is 2FA required?
You'll need to complete 2FA when:
- Withdrawing cryptocurrency.
- Changing your password.
- Changing your phone number.
- Changing your email address.
How do I set up 2FA?
- Go to the Mercuryo Wallet login page: https://my.mercuryo.io/login/email
- Sign in using your registered email address.
- Enter the 5-digit verification code sent to your email address.
- When prompted to set up Two-Factor Authentication, click Continue.
- Download an authenticator app if you don't already have one, such as Google Authenticator.
- On the 2FA setup screen, either:
- Scan the displayed QR code using your authenticator app, or
- Copy the secret key and enter it manually in the app.
- In your authenticator app, tap the + icon and choose to scan the QR code or enter the secret key manually.
- Once your Mercuryo account has been added to the authenticator app, enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to complete the setup.
Where do I find the 6-digit code?
The 6-digit verification code is generated by the authenticator app on your mobile device, such as Google Authenticator. The code refreshes automatically every 30 seconds.
Important: The 6-digit code is not sent by email or SMS. It is generated locally by your authenticator app.
