Mercuryo does operate in the USA. However, there are several limitations:

All the states are supported, except Hawaii, Louisiana and New York. They are not available for verification and using the service.

Passports are not supported for verification of US users - only ID cards and driver's licenses.

Both Visa and Mastercard are supported.

Withdrawing fiat to a bank card is not supported in the USA.
