A Mastercard Crypto Credential Soulbound Token (SBT) is a non-transferable digital token that is permanently linked to your verified blockchain wallet.
It serves as proof that your wallet belongs to a verified Mastercard Crypto Credential user.
Unlike regular crypto tokens or NFTs, an SBT cannot be sold, transferred, or traded. It remains associated with your wallet to verify your identity within the Mastercard Crypto Credential ecosystem.
How do I get a Soulbound Token (SBT)?
To receive an SBT, you must:
- Have an active Mercuryo account.
- Complete identity verification (KYC).
- Create a Mastercard Crypto Credential alias.
- Link an eligible Polygon wallet to your account.
Once these requirements are met, your Soulbound Token is issued by Mastercard on the Polygon network at the request of Mercuryo.
Important information
- Your SBT is permanently linked to your verified wallet.
- It cannot be transferred, sold, or sent to another wallet.
- An active Mercuryo account is required to obtain and maintain your SBT.
- Mastercard Crypto Credential currently supports Polygon wallets only.
