Mastercard Crypto Credential works by linking your unique alias to your eligible blockchain wallet.

When someone enters your alias, the system automatically resolves it to your linked wallet address. This means there's no need to manually copy and paste long blockchain addresses.

How to use it:

To receive cryptocurrency

  1. Create your Mastercard Crypto Credential alias.
  2. Link your eligible Polygon wallet.
  3. Share your alias with the sender instead of your wallet address.

To send cryptocurrency

  1. Enter the recipient's Mastercard Crypto Credential alias (where supported).
  2. The system automatically identifies the wallet linked to that alias.
  3. Review the transaction details and confirm the transfer.

By replacing complex wallet addresses with easy-to-read aliases, Mastercard Crypto Credential makes crypto transfers more convenient while helping reduce the chance of sending funds to the wrong address.
